WiSE University Class of 2017!
WiSE University is a program for female students entering 11th and 12th grade who are interested in Engineering. It is designed to empower young women to pursue engineering degrees with confidence and provides opportunities to connect with Iowa State students, faculty and staff.
WiSE U was scheduled for July 9-14, 2017. WiSE U participants spent 6 days (5 nights) at ISU exploring engineering fields and engaging in hands-on projects. They stayed in the Residence Halls with undergraduate students who acted as mentors. Participants visited various locations around campus and the Ames community in order to learn about engineering majors and careers, and experienced life as a Cyclone. WiSE University is made possible through a partnership between the College of Engineering, Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and the Program for Women in Science and Engineering (WiSE).
